The Children’s Museum in Easton has many community service and volunteer opportunities available for both individuals and groups. We are a non-profit organization in its going on our 20th year of providing hands-on exhibits and educational programs for children ages 1 – 8 years. We have a small, hardworking and creative staff, and rely heavily on volunteer help to serve more than 50,000 visitors annually. Whether you have a little time or a lot, we're sure to have a volunteer opportunity that suits you!

Internships:
 
Art/Art Education Internship 
We are looking for an Art/Art Education Intern to assist in developing an art curriculum for our Arts & Crafts Studio.  The intern will assist Museum staff in developing activities for a variety of settings, lead activities for Museum visitors, and help produce artwork for the Museum and other locations. 

Education Internship 
If you have an interest in education, science, math or any related field you'll enjoy this hands-on internship. This is a great opportunity to work with children of diverse ages and abilities in a fun, informal learning setting.

Events and Public Programs Internship
We are looking for an Event Planning intern to assist the Museum with planning for public programs and special events.  The intern will even get a chance to lead activities on his/or her own with Museum guests.  
 

Development and Fundraising Internship 
We are looking for a college student, or graduate with course work in not-for-profit management, marketing, communications, and/or public relations to assist with the Museum's diverse fundraising and development activities.  
 
Public Relations and Communications Internship
We are looking for a Communications and Public Relations intern who will assist staff in day to day public relations & communications efforts. The intern will work closely with Executive Director and Operations Manager to market and publicize our classes, special events and programs. 
 
Volunteer Opportunities:

Junior Volunteer and CIT programs for kids in 7th -9th grade - Experience the fun of meeting new friends your own age, learning new skills, and helping others in a fun-filled environment!

CIT's work closely with experienced teachers at the Museum's Summer Mini Camp program. They provide friendly faces to help the young campers transition into camp activities, assist with creative camp projects and develop important organizational, time management and leadership skills.

Junior Volunteers help Museum staff by doing hands-on science activities in the FETCH! Lab™ or creative art and crafts projects or volunteering at special family events.

Complete orientation and training is provided. Hours vary for each program, and participants will qualify for community service hours. We'll work with you to find just the right program to suit your needs! For more information click here!

Community service for High School & College Students
Hours are flexible and can be scheduled to suit students' needs within the framework of Museum operating hours, which are: Tuesday–Saturday 10 AM –5 PM and Sundays 12 –5 PM. We are closed most Mondays.  

Typical duties might include: 
        •Doing arts and crafts with children 
        •Assisting teachers in workshops and classes 
        •Data entry 
        •Phone calls to research exhibit and program information 
        •Painting and/or exhibit repair and maintenance 
        •Light yard work 
        •Organizing and preparing supplies 
        •Assist at special events 
        •Bulk mailings and more!


Group Projects might include:
