*When possible, we have limited space inside the Museum for snacking. This room is typically available from 11:00 to 12:30 ONLY, Tuesday through Friday. All food must remain within this designated area and hands must be washed before re-entering the Exhibit areas. Since we do our best to ensure a safe environment for our guests who have food allergies, no food or drink is permitted inside the Exhibit areas of the Museum. We take the safety of our guests very seriously and strictly enforce the above. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
*The Wild Place is open April 1 to November 30 (weather dependent).
Limited mobility? Our facility is a 100 year-old, 3 story, wooden frame building. We do not have an elevator, but we do have ramps that access our Main Exhibit Hall and our lower level, the FETCH! Challenge Lab and party room. Our staff will be glad to assist you or members of your group, but please call ahead to inform us. Strollers and carriages? Backpacks are preferable, since stairs can make strollers and carriages hard to navigate.
