Designed to meet the developmental needs of children ages 3 - 8, the camps offer activities that immerse campers in the theme of the session. And our flexible schedule allows you to choose from four 2-week sessions. Enjoy one, two, three or all four sessions!
Art, music, drama, nature activities . . . and much more! Each day will include outdoor time and time to enjoy the Museum's interactive exhibits!
Taught by professional Museum educators and assisted by student teachers and our CIT's, Museum camps feature a low teacher-to-camper ratio, assuring plenty of individualized attention. Programs are geared for hands-on exploration and provide open-ended opportunities for children to build understanding and knowledge. Your child will learn while having fun!

Great Explorations (ages 3 - 5)
Is your child ready to be dropped off and join our group? Led by highly qualified staff, these multi-aged camps are packed full of fun, and will offer more opportunity for camper-directed interests and choices. All activities will be geared to your child's developmental skills. Child must be independently toilet learned.
Session 1*
June 25, 26 & 27 and July 2 & 3
Animal Antics—Join us as we explore the animal kingdom.We’ll make animal habitats and discover the creatures that live there. Scales or fur, big or small, we will look at them all.
Session 2
July 9, 10 & 11 and July 16, 17 & 18
Imagination Station—Budding young artists and builders alike will enjoy mornings at camp creating, molding and building using a multitude of materials.No cookie cutter crafts here –creative expression will be encouraged.
Session 3
July 23, 24 & 25 and July 30, 31 & August 1
What’s Cracking?—Campers will discover all sorts of fascinating creatures that have one thing in common – they hatch from eggs. Learn where they live, how they survive and what they eat.
Session 4
August 6, 7 & 8 and August 13, 14 & 15
Purr-fectly Pets—Which animals make great pets? Animal lovers will learn what pets need and even create an imaginary pet that doesn’t need walking on rainy nights.
Session 5
August 20, 21 & 22 and August 27, 28 & 29
Jurassic Fun—Calling all paleontologists for a super excursion….we are traveling back in time to when dinosaurs roamed the Earth. Excavate, dig, discover and explore the many secrets of the prehistoric world.
Camp Discovery (ages 6 - 8)
These camps are geared to hands-on learning and uncovering the answers to questions that curious early elementary students have. There is no Session 1 for this age group.

Up! Up! And Away!—Look up! What’s there? We will be checking out what is up in the sky.What will we see? Rockets? Planets? Kites? Bubbles?
Session 3
July 23, 24 & 25 and July 30, 31 & August 1
The Lab—Ever wonder why or how? Young scientists will take a look at several sciences through hands-on experiments. Campers will have time to explore the ‘why’ and time to try to change outcomes!
Session 4
August 6, 7 & 8 and August 13, 14 & 15
Studio G Meets Game Show TV—Are You Smarter Than A Fifth Grader? Can you finish an obstacle course? Team challenges are the name of the game, whether they are straight form Ruff’s garage or along the lines of other TV favorites.
Session 5
August 20, 21 & 22 and August 27, 28 & 29
Blast Off!—Three…two…one….lift off! We know what comes up will come down. The question is…. what will we send up? Campers will send things landing and work on smooth reentries too.We will use some common and not so common materials as we have blast!
