Larry Mowatt: builder and home remodeler

"The Museum adds a lot of culture and attractiveness to our community. It’s fun supporting such a DYNAMIC and thoughtful place.”

Larry was first introduced to the Museum when original founders Paula Peterson, Rose Scanlon, Cathy Kligler and Susan Kelley were just getting the project going.  The Museum needed someone to look at the building and get some exhibits built, and Larry volunteered to help.

Larry built the Golf Ball Raceway, the Under the Sea Room beneath the stairs, the fire pole climbing rig, and the sand table. Larry’s house has been a water stop at the annual Father’s Day Road Race. "We had a lot of fun, playing "born to run" out front and having a sprinkler on hot days" said Larry.

Larry has enjoyed taking part in other Museum fundraisers and events over the years. He said “Mardi Gras Madnees was a great gathering and the Museum brought comedienne Jimmy Tingle to town, along with singers Jonathan Edwards and Tom Rush. The Museum adds a lot of culture and attractiveness to the town of Easton. . . makes us a little worldlier.”
