December Vacation Week

Be sure to check out the Museum's newest exhibit, featuring the Rocket Ship and Command Center. With a video screen and light that you control, the launch is under your command. Astronauts strap in, count down and blast off under their imaginations as they tour the galaxy - and beyond.

Monday, December 26- Friday, December 30 - 9am-5pm

Monday - 12/26
10am-1pm: Design and launch a paper rocket
1-4pm: Build a Jet Pack from recycled materials

Tuesday - 12/27
10am-1pm: Rescue Mission in the FETCH! Lab – design a hook to rescue the space capsules from the water
1-4pm: Make a Flying Saucer

Wednesday - 12/28
10am-4pm: Design a robot using recycled materials
1pm – Meet robotics expert Steve Norris, builder of really cool robots. He’ll bring several of his favorites and show you how they work like Huey the Color Chasing Robot and Robostool.

Thursday - 12/29
10am-1pm: Train like an Astronaut
1-4pm: Make a Flying Saucer

Friday, 12/30
10am-4pm: Make a Comet on a stick
1-4pm: Make some tasty space pudding

The countdown is on … to our week of space themed activities! Be an engineer and design a rocket. Make a comet that sails through the air. Assemble a fuel-injected booster pack to jet you through the galaxy. Try some physical challenges to see if you have what it takes to work in space.
