The Nutcracker

José Mateo’s Ballet Theater’s intimate, streamlined version of the ballet has been presented in Boston-area venues for 20 years. This modest but charming production features substantive choreography and a wonderful, up-close immediacy that newcomers, especially younger viewers, may find particularly compelling. $15-$50. North Easton Holiday Festival 
This year's Holiday Festival takes place at the Rockery on Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3 and 4. Highlights all weekend include a craft fair with over 50 crafters; live music, choirs, bands, folk singers and dancers; rides, games, clowns, costumes and surprises; plenty of food and fun; and the nightly lighting of the Rockery and Reddington displays.

Several special events are scheduled for Sunday, Dec. 4. These include a gourmet breakfast sponsored by the Easton Women of Today at Oakes Ames Hall from 8 to 11 a.m., and the Big Parade - including the annual Pet Parade - down Main Street at 1 p.m.

veryone is invited to Temple Beth Emunah on Saturday Night, December 4 at 6:30 for a night of lights, movies, action and fried food. Please bring your own Hanukkiyahs and candles to light and we will open the Temple Beth Emunah MultiPlex Cinema. A light fare of fried delicacies will be served, and we will offer a movie for the children and a family favorite for everyone else.

Price: $20 a family or $10 an individual (add $5 for reservations after 11/30)

Holiday Walk In Attleboro

Saturday, Dec 4 11:00a to 2:00pA "Festival of Lights Walk" will take place in Attleboro, Mass. on Saturday, December 4. The walk begins at the LaSalette Shrine which features the largest outdoor display of lights on the East Coast. The walk route passes through conservation land, visits the Attleboro Industrial museum and returns to LaSalette Shrine. There is a choice of a 11 or 5 kilometer (6.8 or 3.1 mile) route. Both trails are rated easy walks.
