April School Vacation Week- "Dino-mite FUN!"
Saturday, April 17 - Sunday, April 25
Stomp right into the prehistoric world at the Museum as we uncover mysteries from the past. Play as a paleontologist for a day (they study dinosaurs!), touch fossil tracks that are over 200 million years old (courtesy of Dinosaur State Park in Rocky Hill, CT), learn about dinosaur behaviors from the experts, make your own "fossils" to take home. Each day features dinosaur crafts, activities, or challenges.
The Museum will be open:
Saturday & Sunday (4/17 & 18): 12:00 PM-5:00 PM
Monday-Friday (4/19-23): 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Saturday (4/24): 12:00 PM-5:00 PM (Spring Fling! 12- 4)

Wednesday, April 21
12:00 p.m. - Unfortunately, Jenna is not feeling well and won't be able to join us today. Young paleontology buff Jenna Magaldi will bring books and models of dinosaurs with her as she shares her love for these prehistoric creatures. She'll be here to answer any of your questions.
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Craft: Make your own Recyclesaurus.
Thursday, April 22
1:30 p.m. - Come meet Marla Isaacs of New England Reptile and Raptor. A live animal show with alligators and a GIANT tortoise. Be a bone detective and test your knowledge by examining bones and skeletons.
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Craft: Make a dinosaur hand puppet.
Friday, April 23
10:00 a.m. - Easton student and young paleontologist, Emma Barry will bring in dinosaur models and fossils from her own collection.
2:00 p.m. - Dissect an owl pellet, look at the bones, and try to figure out what animal they are from.
($1 fee for this activity, ongoing while supplies last.)
10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Activity: Dinosaur balance challenge.
Saturday, April 24
It's opening day...for The Wild Place, that is! Let's celebrate the great outdoors. Touch some farm and landscaping trucks, plant a starter herb garden, learn about the importance of community gardens, meet Mother Nature, and take in a live animal show at 1:00. Plus crafts, music, and snacks!
Sunday, April 25
Noon - 4:00 p.m. - Craft: Cast your own fossil!
